Expert Answers about Dutchmen Aspen Trail Travel Trailer

  • Recommended Weight Distribution System for Grand Design Transcend Xplor 247BH
  • The Grand Design Transcend Xplor 247BH has a gross vehicle weight rating of about 7,000 lbs so the most the tongue could ever weight is between 10-15% of this which is 700 lbs - 1,050 lbs. Therefore, I'd shoot for a system in the middle of this range. The Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System part # C17500 is my recommendation. It comes with a pre-torque hitch ball as well so it's ready to use right out of the box.

  • How to Choose Replacement Slide Out Seal for 2019 Dutchmen Aspen Trail Travel Trailer 2480 RBS
  • I'd be happy to help out! If you can get me the dimensions of the seals you're needing to replace on your 2019 Dutchmen Aspen Trail Travel Trailer 2480 RBS I can make a recommendation for you, as we unfortunately don't have seal specs on trailers. For example, the Rubber Top Lip Wiper Seal for RV Slide Out # SR23VR you were looking at is 30' long x 2-1/2" wide. If this matches what you currently have then you just need to make sure you get enough length to match your application! Attached...

  • Converting to LED Lights on 2016 Dutchmen Aspen Trail Travel Trailer
  • Converting to LED lights on your Dutchmen Aspen Trail TT won't cause you an issue, especially since you're planning to switch all of them. If you know the bulb type you can replace them with LED bulbs like the # ARC93FR you were looking at. Make sure to match the bulb type and also match the color of the bulb to the color of the lens. If bulbs aren't available, you can replace the entire light with an LED light like the # RVSTLB60 I have attached links below to all of our LED replacement...

  • Recommended Replacement Black RV City Water Inlet Flange on 2015 Dutchmen Aspen Trail Travel Trailer
  • It appears that your 2015 Dutchmen Aspen Trail 2810BHS came with a Valterra Flush Mount Water Inlet # A01-0168BKVP. This is a plastic construction and may explain why you are needing to replace it. I recommend the RV City Water Flange # 372160-85-A-36A as it uses a lead free brass construction. The black flange is 3" which is slightly larger than the 2-3/4" flange on the Valterra so you may will need to seal the old holes and drill for the new holes.

  • Tankless Water Heater to Replace Standard Water Heater in Travel Trailer
  • You can replace your busted standard water heater with a tankless water heater, and what you'll need to know is the amount of space you have in your cut out, as water heaters aren't specific fits for any make or model of trailer. The one I recommend checking out is from Fogatti: - Fogatti RV Tankless Water Heater # LSB64FR I like the Fogatti because it requires a smaller cut out of just 13" wide x 13" tall x 17-3/4" deep, but is still a powerful option, giving you up to 1-1/2 gallons...

  • Is the Replacement Handle for Bladex and Valterra Waste Valves Threaded

  • Is Global Link RV Door Latch Install Difficult
  • I do have some information for you that should help but unfortunately we have not yet had the chance to install the Global Link RV Entry Door Locking Latch Kit part # 295-000021 on a blank door so we do not have an install video. It's a pretty simple install that I think you'd be able to handle pretty easily. Basically, you will want to mark a cutout about 2-1/2" wide x 3-1/2" tall in the face of the door near the edge where you want the handle to be and then use something like a dremel...

  • Do Solera Electric Awnings Require Lock When Travelling
  • The electric Solera awnings don't use locks to keep them held in place as the motors of them keep them from unrolling. The locks are only needed with the manual awnings like what the # LC362101 provides.

  • Strait Line Weight Distribution Recommendation for Travel Trailer with 560 lb Dry Tongue Weight
  • I'd recommend the next higher Strait Line part # RP66083 which has a tongue weight range of 400-800 lbs. Your dry tongue weight of 560 lbs is about at the top of the range of the # RP66082 which is 200-600. By the time your trailer would be loaded you'd be over the capacity and the system would be basically ineffective. Ideally you want the loaded tongue weight of the towing setup to fall right into the middle of the range of the system. Keep in mind that the weight of any cargo behind...

  • Connecting 4 Propane Tanks to a Travel Trailer
  • Yes, you are on the right track. You would essentially be setting up 2 separate 2 tank systems. So using (2) of the MB Sturgis High Capacity Two-Stage Auto Changeover Regulator # 888001-MBS will work great for that. You would then also want (4) of the MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail # 100575-15-MBS to connect your tanks to the regulators. Then you can either get (1) of the MB Sturgis Propane Hose Assembly # 100383-60-MBS if you want to disconnect from the regulator to switch over to the second...

  • Will the Camco RV Heating Wall Thermostat Fit a 2013 Dutchmen Aspen Trail
  • The Camco RV Heating Wall Thermostat part # CAM09231 is a universal thermostat that works with single-stage heating systems. Therefore, if this is what you have in your 2013 Dutchmen Aspen Trail then yes it will work for you. However, if you have both a single stage heating and air conditioning system then you will want to use the Camco RV Single-Stage Heat and Cool Wall Thermostat part # CAM09221 instead.

  • How to Determine Fit of Fogatti RV Tankless Water Heater
  • The Foggati tankless water heaters are 100 percent going to be an upgrade over a standard water heater due to their efficiency, as it only uses energy when you turn on the hot water instead of a standard heater that is always using up energy to keep the water hot. And while it is very likely to fit, we don't have any way of knowing fits of a heater in any specific trailer, so you'll just need to take some measurements for either of the Fogatti heaters, which are the following part numbers: -...

  • Best ST225/75R15 Trailer Tires for Higher Speed Driving
  • The load and speed ratings of the ST225/75R15 trailer tires your 2017 Dutchman Aspen travel trailer are maximum capacities for the tires themselves. The 75-mph maximum speed of an L-rated tire does not indicate a recommendation to tow a trailer at that speed. Safe towing speeds naturally vary based on the nature of the road (dead-straight flat interstate versus winding two-lane back roads), the weather conditions and the total weight of the truck and trailer as a combined system. Also,...

  • Can Furrion Tankless Water Heater FR93FR Replace Atwood GC6AA-10E
  • So long as you have the appropriate cut out size, you can replace your Atwood GC6AA-10E with the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR93FR. The Atwood heater measures 12-1/2" tall x 16" wide x 18" deep while the Furrion measures 12-5/8" tall x 12-13/16" wide x 19-3/16" deep, so it is a bit taller and has more depth, so you'll want to confirm you have that amount of space. If so, the Furrion will be a fit for you, and you can add a door as well, the 16" x 16" # FR43FR.

  • The best option I have to replace the roof vent on a trailer where the model number is not know is with the MaxxAir UniMaxx Universal Replacement Lid part # MA00-335002 for smoke or part # MA00-335001 for white. These options will fit any standard trailer roof vent (14"-1/2" x 14-1/2" and 14" x 14"). If you are looking for a direct factory replacement, you'd need to know the model number which can be found under the screen.

This replacement lid includes brackets that you can bolt or rivet in place to mount the new lid and get your vent back in working order. • Will Over-Under Kit for 2-3/8 Inch Axle Fit Lippert Axle
  • Yes, the over-under kit, part # K71-384-00, does fit a 2-3/8 inch Lippert axle as well. It fits any 2-3/8 diameter round axle with a double-eye leaf spring suspension. Also yes, Lippert axles also have a bow in them that needs to face upwards. I don't know of any round trailer axles that aren't bowed but there's likely some exceptions.
